Joey Wampler
Pastor
Joey Wampler was saved on September 12, 1995 at the age of twenty-one. Shortly thereafter, he accepted God’s call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He faithfully served as minister of music at Northside Baptist Church of Gaffney, South Carolina, from 1999-2003 under his pastor, Dr. Edward McAbee. Pastor Wampler was called as pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Spartanburg in July of 2003, where he served for the next five years. In 2008, he started Resurrection Baptist Church of Cowpens, South Carolina, and remained as pastor for thirteen years. Presently, Pastor Wampler serves the congregation of Fundamental Baptist Church, and has done so since May of 2022.
Pastor Wampler is a native of Spartanburg, South Carolina. He studied at Victory Baptist College of North Augusta, South Carolina, earning a B.A. in Pastoral Theology. He later earned his M.A from the Believers Institute for Biblical Studies in Union, South Carolina.
A continual student of God’s Word, Pastor Wampler effectively communicates timeless truths to help individuals in their everyday lives. His desire is to reach others with the gospel of Jesus Christ, then assist them as they build their daily walk with our Lord and Savior.
He and his wife, Kelli, have been married since 2003. They are proud parents to their four children, Anna, Joseph, Levi, and Libbie.

Clint Powell
associate pastor
Clint Powell was saved October 20, 1996 at the age of seven. In March of 2016 he surrendered to God’s call to preach His Word. He began serving as Youth Pastor, under the leadership of his Pastor, Rusty Silvertooth, in September of 2017. He currently serves as the Associate Pastor under Pastor Joey Wampler’s leadership and guidance, and has done so since October of 2022. Clint is a native of Livingston, Louisiana, and has faithfully attended Fundamental Baptist Church since
2007. He is a graduate of Faith Bible Institute, and has been director of the classes held at Fundamental Baptist Church since August 2018. He and his wife, Sheena, have been married since 2010. They have two daughters, Heidi and Reese.
